This newly created position provides oversight and supports all aspects of treasury function for Compassion International. Scope of responsibility includes short
- and long-term cash flow management, foreign currency risk mitigation, investment performance analysis and banking services. Coordinates analysis of capital requests and evaluates ROI data. Advises CFO and senior management regarding opportunities and concerns related to Compassion's asset management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate for children
- raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. Builds, maintains, and analyzes cash flow forecasting. Reviews forecast variances and works closely with other ministry areas to ensure variances are investigated and forecasting is improved. Recommends new short-term investment strategies to CFO. Recommends and implements strategies to mitigate international currency risks. Proposes and implements new and/or improved treasury policies and standards. Negotiates and recommends banking services. Regularly reviews and monitors terms and conditions with banks to maintain control over all transactions and to reduce banking fees and costs. Liaises with CFO on expansion projects to secure long-term funding (loans), when needed. Works with Finance function to ensure integration of short-term projections with long-term forecasting. Monitors and makes recommendations to Finance to improve management of accounts receivables and accounts payables.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.


2. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business. MBA or masters in finance or economics preferred.


3. 5 years of related cashflow management and/or treasury experience preferred, with 2 years foreign exchange experience. Experience with non-profit organizations preferred.


4. Certifications/Licensing: Certified Treasury Professional or Certified Cash Manager preferred.


5. Other Required Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
