We are currently recruiting for a Patient Flow Coordinator. This position requires a Registered Nurse license. It uses approved screening criteria (Milliman) and hospital approved admission, discharge and transfer criteria to determine the medical necessity of a requested hospitalization and the appropriate level of care for that patient. Works collaboratively with Hospital Staff and Physicians for appropriate bed assignment. Actively involved in management of both inpatient and observation patients. Provides consultative role as utilization management (UM) nurse to clinical and non-clinical departments. Follow UM policies and procedures and assists with continually improving the quality and effectiveness of the utilization management program and St. Anthony Hospital. Graduate of an approved school of Nursing, BSN required or completion of BSN within one year.
Minimum of five years of experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience with Utilization Management, knowledge of Milliman criteria, managed care language, The Joint Commission standards, and CMS rules and regulations preferred.
