Blog Post: HR Symposium to address Global Issues on April 16th

Mark your calendars for April 16, 2009 from 8 am - 4:30 pm because we are going to explore this possibility and how to get there in a unique, transformational all-day event.

Many of us are already doing things to make a difference- recycling, biking, volunteering, conserving energy, etc., but there is often a disconnect when we show up at work and it's business as usual. Or, maybe we're trying to make changes at work but find it an uphill battle given all the other priorities.

This is an opportunity to change that.

In this all-day program, we will focus on 4 questions:
Where are we?
How did we get here?
What's possible for the future?
Where do we go from here?

These are the issues we're already working on in HR: finding and keeping a healthy, productive, engaged workforce, diversity, saving money, reducing waste, and being involved in our communities.

We also welcome people who partner with HR, such as benefits providers, recruiters, employment attorneys, consultants, relocation companies, students, government officials to discuss ideas about how to work differently together. We have enough space for 200 people, and we hope you'll be there and invite the people you do business with. Together, we are going to do amazing things.
