Blog Post: Job Fair Q&A from Pre-event Webinar

Thank you to all attendees of our pre-event Webinar for tomorrow's job fair (7/30/09). Published below are all of the questions and answers from the end of our session. We hope that each of you is able to join us at the job fair and we wish you the best of luck.

Q: when I click on 'browse all companies' I do not see some of the companies that are listed for tomorrows career expo - for example Lewan & Associates are on the list for tomorrow but not on the master list?
A: They may not be posting jobs currently on our site, I would google the company to see what positions they have listed on their company site. For example you can visit a listing of Lewan & Associates jobs here.

Q: I have registered for the job fair and have printed out the registration; will there be a specific door for pre-registered people?
A: All attendees will enter through the same door, but there will be a separate line for people who have a pre-registration form with them.

Q: Is a thumb drive the same as a USB drive?
A: Yes, flash drive, USB drive, and thumb drive are all the same thing.

Q: Can we arrive early?
A: Yes, feel free to arrive early, but the doors will not open until 2pm.

Q: Is there a way to receive a copy of the webinar presentation. I would like to review.
A: Yes, you can receive a copy of the presentation by emailing resumereview@jobing.com and asking for a copy.


Q: How about dress for different jobs I heard that you are supposed to dress different for the jobs
A: We recommend dressing professionally for the job fair. A good rule of thumb is to dress one level higher than the job you are applying for (so even if it is a jeans and t-shirt dress code for the job, dress business casual: khakis and a button-up shirt for the job fair or an interview).

Q: For people that didn't register will they be able to attend n register there?
A: If you haven't registered online yet, you still can. Otherwise you can register at the entrance to the event.
