This is a call center technical support position. The position requires taking up to 25 calls a day, answering technical support questions from providers concerning claims transmissions.
Accept inbound calls from clients and enter data into call tracking software
Resolve client problems/issues or assigns to senior technician or manager
Recover claims from the archives as needed by senior technicians or manager
Recreate and repost reports as directed by senior technicians or manager
Explain the importance of EMC agreements to clients as needed
Transfer incoming calls to other departments as needed
Call clients to request print files, provider information, formats and fax of rejection/denial data for resolution of client issues or for senior technicians or manager
Talk clients through the process of sending ENS the above requested data
Communicate with provider offices, payers, and corporate partners as directed via phone, fax, or email
Document actions taken and steps followed in ESP
Assist in building the knowledge database
Complete all job duties in accordance with established schedules while maintaining and adhering to production and quality standards
Maintain current knowledge of corporate policies and procedures
Other customer service related duties as assigned
Skills / Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is required
2+ years of phone based customer support experience is required
2+ years of intermediate computer skills and be able to navigate multiple applications on multiple computer screens is required
Experience in a call center is a plus
Claims processing and/or claims adjudication experience is a plus
Insurance industry experience is a plus
