DUTIES:
* Provides the first level helpdesk support for 400+ internal/external personnel with proper helpdesk ticket documentations
* Maintain and update computer and systems documentation including entering helpdesk tickets in a timely manner
* Support several application software packages, computer/server hardware, voice/telecommunication systems and various computer peripherals.
* Must be able to quickly learn new program and then train users.
* Must be able to maintain basic knowledge of VoIP system and voicemail applications
* Assist with maintenance of daily operation of PC/LAN/WAN windows network and telecommunication systems.
* Assist the Network and Computer Technicians with configuration, installation and support hardware and software.
* Ability to lift all computer equipment as required for installation and carries a cell phone 24/7 and is available as needed.
* Assist the technical services manager with other related tasks as required.
Skills / Requirements
BS in Computer Information Systems or Telecommunications, 2 years of experience may be substituted for 1 year of college courses. Minimum of 4 years experience with advanced computer software/hardware. Training and support in a LAN/Wan environment via phone/face to face. Industry standard certifications a plus but not required. A+/Network+ Certification required within 1 year of employment. Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and documentation skills. Scheduling and time management skills. The ability to work in a team oriented environment. Bilingual preferred but not required.
First level of phone support and trouble shooting or all aspects of IS and its personal computer and networked based systems in an ethical and professional manner. Provides backup and support for the technical services IS team. Provides minimal training of Jefferson Center‚s software applications and phone system to enhance the user technical and efficiency.
Required experience in training and using: Windows Desktop OS XP/7, Internet Explorer, MS Server OS 2008, Exchange/Outlook 2010, Citrix, Novell Zen, MSOffice, MS Project, Arcserve and various backup programs, Bomgar or other remote control programs, Avaya telecommunication, VoIP systems, Inventory tracking and helpdesk programs, Graphics/desktop publishing packages, Various database programs.
