Job: Paraprofessional

are currently looking for Paraprofessionals to join the Education team at our Westminster
location. Paraprofessionals support the education program and provide for the safety and health
of clients and assist in classroom so learning can be efffective.

As a Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for:
· Working with the classroom Teacher in implementing and enhancing program delivery by
maintaining an environment that maximizes client safety and risk event reduction while making
programming adjustments as needed to address the treatment goals of the individual clients.
· Facilitating structured on and off campus campus recreational activities within facility
procedural guidelines.
· Intervening with escalating behaviors and using verbal de-escalation skills to reduce the
need for restrictive interventions
· Consistently performing and immediately recording visual checks as they occur and per
procedural guidelines.
· Consistently demonstrating skills in therapeutic communication, promoting positive
behavioral change, and teaching and reinforcing client skill development.
· Maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients and peers.

Paraprofessionals work 7am-3:30pm, M-F

Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree or 60 completed credit hours, a Bachelor’s Degree in an
education or a human services field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a special education environment is highly preferred.
- Substitute or Teacher License preferred.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and multi tasking skills.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
