JOB SUMMARY:

Configure and maintain EHR software, train users in all areas of computer hardware and software use

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Configure, maintain, and support EHR software in the specific areas of data entry forms and fields specific to SLV.
  • Setup & activate/reactivate SLV-EHR user accounts.
  • Create and maintain SLV-EHR specific custom data extracts & reports.
  • Provide SLV-EHR basic training to users as part of employee hire orientation and support on-going training as required or needed.
  • Provide other software training to SLV users (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, WebClock, computer use) as part of employee hire orientation and support on-going training as required or needed.
  • Plan and manage file server schemas (i.e., Public Folders).
  • Maintain SLV-EHR user documentation in areas of primary responsibility and coordinate other documentation (i.e., billing, clinical).
  • Participate in SLV data committee goals and objectives.
  • Serve as SLV liaison to SYCARE in area of EHR software data warehousing and support.
  • Primary contact for SLV-EHR Help Desk issues and resolutions.
  • Primary contact to UNICARE for SLV issues reporting, testing, and confirmation of resolution.
  • Support all applicable EHR workflow improvements.
  • Participate in SLV multi-disciplinary EHR improvement team.
  • Serve as backup to Network Administrator.
  • Serve as board member liaison and provide support as needed/required.
  • Assist in the development of software management information systems and processes for all components administered by the SLVCCMHC.
  • Work with Director/IT in planning and implementing computer technology per board directives and administrative goals/objectives

    SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Other duties as assigned by Director/IT

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

    Supervision Received:

    Administrative supervision is from the Director/IT. Written evaluations will occur according to agency policy and will be performed by Director/IT. The Network Administrator is responsible to the Director/IT for job performance.

  • Skills / Requirements
    BA degree in computer science or related field with two years experience in computer software. Specific software knowledge to include SQL, HTML, CRYSTAL, MS office. Candidate must have knowledge of computer hardware and components, specifically client-server platforms, NT security and understand concepts of relational database. Must be able to work well with end users, effectively communicate and assess needs, and recommend hardware/software products most suitable in attaining agency's technology goals/objectives. Valid driver's license a must.

    Important Notes
    Other Skills, Knowledge and Ablilities:
    Terminal Server experience a plus.
    Ability to work under minimal supervision in prioritization of work tasks.
    Ability to work effectively with variety of professionals and support staff.
    Ability to perform light physical work and the essential functions of the job.
    Ability to work flexible hours as needed and travel as required.
