Jobing Description
The IT Support Specialist/Network Analyst will provide overall customer support to the Colorado Springs business community primarily in the computing infrastructure frameworks and serve as a single point of contact for all Information Solutions (I/S) functions across multiple business units. Work hand-in-hand with the site business leadership teams to represent all functions of I/S with a focus on the I/S Operations function and its role in delivering and supporting a computing environment that is effective and cost efficient. Serve as a key link to the other I/S Functions (i.e. Engineering Solutions, Business Solutions, Information Assurance, etc.) and corporate I/T functions as opportunities and issues arise that allow I/S to provide value to the business operations. Responsibilities: Coordinate site break/fix in conjunction with the help desk. Conduct asset management (equipment tagging, record keeping). Perform tier 1 network support, and move/add/change support for legacy Meridian PBX. Plan, evaluate, coordinate and perform installations and/or reconfigurations of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Manage sourced relationships that provide services to Colorado Springs, this includes planning work, managing projects, approving payments, etc. Coordinate with all business units to deliver services to corporate business users and ensure optimum service levels and cost containment. Integrate with business leaders and programs in Colorado Springs to identify opportunities where I/S can continue providing value beyond core services. Identify local projects and engage with enterprise-wide projects to ensure resources are available and project objectives are met. Work across peers and business units to ensure I/S operations processes are lean and standard across sites. Leverage remote/peer support provided by I/S operations.
Skills / Requirements
Required Skills: Must have a BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related discipline with minimum 2+ years experience of IT service delivery experience as an individual performer. Must be proficient providing tier 1 support of Lotus Notes, Blackberry, PGP, Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Must be familiar with information technology service offerings and solutions as well as industry practices in the computing environment. Must have the ability to maintain technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing. Must have ability to plan and oversee multiple projects/programs simultaneously. Must have ability to achieve results in a matrix environment and develop and maintain relationships across multiple business units to ensure consistent and satisfactory support to a diverse customer base. Must be customer focused and have the ability to work in a team environment. U.S. Citizenship required. Applicant subject to a security clearance.
