Jobing Description
Provide on-site, intensive treatment and support to youth in Jefferson Hills’ two Healing Homes CPAs. Clinician will provide, at a minimum, weekly individual and group therapy to all youth in the CPA’s; weekly consultation to CPA staff; and weekly case management with caseworkers from Jefferson County Human Services Division of Children, Youth and Families (CYF). Clinician will provide family treatment to youth and families in coordination with caseworker and Jefferson Hills Program Coordinator requests. Clinician will provide linkage to other needed Jefferson Center services for all youth in the CPA’s. Clinician will prepare written reports reflecting client’s (and family when appropriate) progress in treatment for CYF caseworkers; in addition, reports will reflect informational needs related to the Jefferson County Court.
• Provides individual, family (when possible) and group treatment with a focus on helping the child or adolescent reunite with family or achieve permanency as soon as possible. Effectively engages consumer (and family when possible) in the treatment process and goal setting including the creation of wrap around plans when needed through the use of a strength-based assessment. Exhibits effective assessment and diagnostic skills with both the client and family and demonstrates ability to identify risk factors including lethality. Effectively plans for sessions by completing and utilizing clinical progress notes. Clinician will work constructively with consumers to identify risk factors and create and sustain effective behavior change in order to increase consumers’ adaptive level of functioning and self-sufficiency. Effectively coordinates care with internal and external providers Maintains appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow-up for consumers.
• Maintains weekly contact with CYF caseworkers. Attends client staffings and monitors treatment progress. Collaborates with CYF caseworker in creating transition/ discharge plans for children and families when nearing completion of treatment at the group home. Effectively links clients back into Jefferson Center services when appropriate to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides written reports as needed to CYF caseworkers reflecting clients’ progress in treatment. Provides weekly consultation to CPA staff re: strategies to support children and families as they work toward treatment goals.
• Meets Jefferson Center expectations for documentation, clinical quality, and productivity.
• Ensures that fee collections meet the team goal as determined by the Network Director.

Skills / Requirements
Licensed, Masters level clinician. Experience in assessment and diagnosis, using the DSM-IV. Experience in working with foster care children and adolescents. Experience in providing family treatment to this population. Excellent case management skills, ability to work well with a variety of systems. Knowledge of motivational interviewing and stages of change. Bilingual preferred.
