Job: Health Care Team Leader (Sterling, CO)

Under general direction, serves as Team Lead at Sterling Community Donor Center and Community Blood Drive Operations collection sites around the northeastern part of Colorado. Registers, interviews, screens and selects potential donors. Performs sample and phlebotomy collection procedures performed at collection site. Provides donor care and conducts equipment quality control while delivering excellent customer service and adhering to company standards.

Team Leads reporting to Community Blood Drive Operations will load, unload and set up equipment at collection and may drive Bonfils vans, shuttles or buses. Team Leads mentor new employees. Employee will drive company vehicle and must possess valid Colorado driver’s license and insurability.

The position is based in Sterling, CO and requires frequent travel throughout the region.

This position is 32 hours Tues-Friday with varying shifts and some overnight stays. Frequent travel and a current Colorado driver's license required. Training at company expense in Denver is required for up to 11 weeks on the onset of hire. Pay rate begins at $13.75 per hour and offers full benefits.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Related education and experience preferred: Licensed Practical Nurse, Paramedic, Medical Licensed Technician, or degree in Health Sciences

Experience:
One year related medical experience required
Donor and/or Dialysis technician experience preferred
Three to five years of supervisory or training experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
Knowledge of Community Donor Operations is required
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers
Must be able to achieve and maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
Must be able to perform donor care and intervention
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
Must be able to enter data into the computer
Requires current driver's license and proof of insurance
