We are looking for a licensed, insurance professional to fill the position of Account Specialist, at an Independent Insurance Brokerage Company located in downtown Denver, CO.

Position Summary:
To generate new business opportunities and to ensure and anticipate accurate and timely servicing of commercial insurance clients needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Account Specialist essential responsibilities include however is not limited to:

Seek out new clients through in-person cold calling, telemarketing and networking

Contact prospective clients and explain features and merits of policies offered

Develop and maintain effective network within the assigned “Target Industry”

Prepare and conduct sales presentations to prospective and existing customers on new and renewal business

Interface with clients, carriers and associates on a daily basis

Issue certificates and auto ID cards

Track policy changes and obtain renewal data from clients

Prepare submissions to carriers and proposals to clients

Process new business, renewals, and endorsement requests

Keep accurate records in the Agency Management System

Maintain paper filing system

Obtain and maintain all licensing and continued education requirements

Maintain thorough knowledge in the insurance industry and the assigned “Target Industry”

Design insurance programs, recommend coverage’s, and implement client programs

Actively manage leads and maintain a marketing database on a daily basis

Meet production requirements as set by the agency

- Must have Property & Casualty insurance experience and current Colorado P&C license – (insurance background mandatory)
- Must be able to work independently and within a team
- Have a strong customer service orientation
- Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- College degree preferred
