Jobing Description
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, with additional supervision from the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities: • Calculate, process, and deliver bi-weekly employee payroll. Ensure that payroll records are current and up-to-date. • Prepare and submit all local, state and federal HR-related reports, including monthly state report of new hires, payroll tax deposits, federal quarterly form 941, W-2s, W-3, and annual federal form 5500. • Apply FLSA and other federal, state and local regulations and policies relating to pay and benefits. • Maintain census of employees and determine eligibility for pay and benefits. • Enroll eligible employees in benefit plans, transmit enrollment information to providers, and update payroll records. • Monthly reconciliation of all payroll liability and expense accounts, including reporting to CFO. • Reconcile monthly benefits billings against payroll records, prepare and make required adjustments, and certify benefits billings to the Business Manager for payment. • Prepare and submit 403(b) retirement plan documentation and submit check requests for deposits to be made monthly. • Notify employees of changes in HIPAA regulations, insurance coverage, Medicare, 403(b) and pertinent IRS changes. • Maintain HIPAA-compliant employee records and notify employees of HIPAA changes. • Maintain and secure all private health information. • Submit and track all necessary paperwork for COBRA insurance continuation. • Assist with audit preparations, including annual audit and Worker’s Compensation audit. • Track leave-with and -without-pay time. • Prepare annual letters of employment for non-contract employees for President. • Provide reports and obtain information as requested by management in a timely manner. • Maintain time sheets, payroll records and pay schedules. • Maintain personnel records and update files as information/documents are received. • Provide clerical support to the Director of Human Resources. • Other duties, as assigned Skills / Requirements
• 2-3 years payroll processing experience
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge software, or similar • Tax filing requirements • Knowledge of Accounting Principles • Knowledge of NACHA banking principles and writs Regis Jesuit High School Preview
