Adams County will be involved in a major construction project on Pecos St. between 52nd Ave. and I-76. This position is a project specific position and will last approximately 30 months.

To apply the engineering sciences and mathematics to analysis or design of projects or programs with engineering components. The work typically includes duties as responsible charge engineer which may involve lower level engineering positions.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Plan, organize and conduct engineering projects requiring the application of professional engineering processes, theories, laws, principles, conceptual models, and techniques related to highway engineering.

Serve as responsible charge engineer which may involve oversight of lower level engineering positions.

Oversee the work of consultants and contractors, reviewing the work for professional adequacy and compliance with plans, specifications and procedures.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience.

Education and Training: Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalency based on years of experience.

License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license; current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado or 5 years documented experience working as a Civil Engineer Project Manager II with CDOT.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Background Check: Must pass a criminal (CBI) background check.

This position reports to a field office environment Monday - Friday, with hours of 8:00 - 4:30 and overtime as needed. Travel will be required throughout the regional assignment to attend meetings.

This position is project designated to last up to 30 months.
