DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains 95% or greater accuracy rate in all Registrations. Measured at least 4 times per and documented in employee file.
Registration/Admission to be completed in 10 minutes or less. (Periodic Audit)
Maintains appropriate skills and knowledge required for Insurance, Managed care contracts, state and federal regulations.
Completes related duties, as assigned.
Remains flexible in scheduling to meet department and organizational needs to accommodate the registration process
Admission Registration - General Job Duties:
Verify Insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain pre-certification according to payer requirements ( Measured 3 times a year)
Attends 75% of all staff meetings per year.
Admission or registration completed in 10 minutes or less.
Obtains Consents for treatment and assignment of benefits
Obtains Insurance card copies or documents reason of non availability (to be monitored 4 times per year)
MSP questions answered and verified at each Admission/Registration to meet 95% or greater accuracy. (Measured 4 times per year)
Bed Control- General Job Duties
* Balance Census nightly to Meditech, bed book and bed board
* Makes Appropriate UR changes timely and appropriately. (Monitored 4 times a year)
Appropriate interactions between all areas of the hospital.
Psych Registration - General Job Duties:
Maintains Psychiatric Insurance specific payer requirements for mental health benefits.
