SUMMARY
Teaches PiYo (Pilates and Yoga combination) classes to youth, adults, and seniors. Coordinates and prepares music and presents choreography of class routines.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Instruct participants through series of Pilates and Yoga movements for all levels of fitness.
Handles and reports to the Recreation Superintendent any problems, concerns, or emergencies that arise during their classes.
Responsible for securing a substitute when unable to work assigned class.
Provides positive, fun, and safe experiences to the class participants.
Provides good customer service.
Follows and enforces all department policies, rules, and regulations while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE OR FORMAL TRAINING
Must hold a current CPR certification and have a Pilates certification and Yoga certification by a national accredited fitness-testing agency or Pilates/Yoga Teacher training school. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Must be self-motivated, the ability to work independently, and interact with people of all ages and abilities. Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment during stressful situations. Must have excellent customer service skills.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Work is primarily in an indoor setting. Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, hear, and communicate effectively.
