Post Date 10/20/2009 Title SDS Production Trainer (176) City Colorado Springs State CO JOB BRIEF Provides service to the department that motivates, enables, encourages and educates the staff in their work with sponsors/donors. Works to equip the staff in the areas of customer service, consistent procedures and practices, follow up training to enhance personal skills and improve professionalism. Helps to create an environment of learning, self-improvement, and self-motivation through the development of training techniques, special courses and the implementation of positive consequences for successful actions. Supports the ministry purpose to ensure integrity and accountability in sponsorship and ministry to children, sponsors and donors. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. Assists with developing, maintaining and changing, as required, a training schedule for all new department employees. Facilitates all new-hire, recurrent and specialized training within corresponding department. Assists in developing and maintaining training content for the enhancement and ongoing development of staff in order to ensure the department remains on the front edge of customer service and professionalism. Maintains knowledge in all aspects of work related to the department in order to lead by example and set a standard of excellence among staff. Develops a sufficient understanding in Compassion's philosophy of child development and child advocacy in order to ensure these are incorporated in all training issues either written or verbal, and creates a bench-mark by which all department activities will be measured. Engages in activities such as seminars and educational opportunities for self-improvement and enhancement of the training process. Skills / Requirements
