EMT Transfer and Special Events
Responsible for direct emergency patient medical care during ambulance responses, direct in-hospital physician and nursing assistance under the supervision of physicians or ER/PW Charge Nurses. Ability to start IVs, read EKGs, defibrillates, incubate or push medications. In depth, up-to-date skills & knowledge of pre-hospital emergency medical care techniques in order to provide emergency treatment. Requires current CO EMT-B, BLS, ACLS, PALS within one year of employment. Current working knowledge of ambulances, ambulance district and hospital as would normally be acquired through 6 months experience as a volunteer or comparable experience with another hospital and ambulance service.
