The Full-time Member Service Representative is responsible for performing duties related to member service transactions, which include: financial transactions, problem solving, selling merchandise, and opening new and additional accounts. Extensive and exceptional member service skills are required due to the high level of member contact. Applies knowledge of products and services to improve processes and to satisfy the needs of our members. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES and BASIC DUTIES: - Consistently demonstrates Norbel's service philosophy. - Performs member service functions to include tellering, opening and closing accounts of all types, issuing certificates of deposits, responding to questions or concerns, and learning basic lending practices. - Exhibits excellent member service and communication skills, with both external and internal members/staff. - Must demonstrate complete knowledge of all credit union products and services. - Promotes credit union products and services that would be beneficial to the member. - Balances each day’s transactions and verifies cash. Assists in balancing the entire branch. - Completes all appropriate paperwork for situation/transaction, i.e. stop payments, wire transfers, opening accounts and etc. - Responds to member inquiries and resolve member issues - Performs duties according to established department policies and adheres to Credit Union procedures and policies.
