Job Details:
Summary: Develop, collect, analyze and report physician practice financial data to senior management and physician practices. Evaluate new processes and procedures required to be implemented for changes occurring in physician practices.Required: Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and 3 years accounting experience in a multiple physician practice environment OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5 years accounting experience in a health care environment. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of automated accounting systems. Extensive knowledge of logical and relational decision making applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and data management software. Ability to abstract data from various sources in order to complete financial projects or analysis. Ability to interface with personnel throughout the health system as well as outside accounting and/or auditing personnel and provide requested financial information and analysis as requested. Strong analytical and presentation skills. Organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines. Knowledge of cost accounting systems and methodologies. Knowledge of capital and operating budget development strategies. Moderate knowledge of many healthcare financial topics including reimbursement, investment analysis, and revenue cycle management. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices with focus on those applicable to not-for-profit and healthcare entities. Knowledge of taxation of not-for-profit entities and associated regulatory requirement.
