Jobing Description
We are looking for one part-time Clinician to work with the residents of Huron House, a dual diagnosis residential treatment facility located in Commerce City, CO.

The shift available is:

Friday through Sunday from 10:30 pm to 8:30 am (3 ten-hour overnight shifts).

The clinical program at Huron House provides both individual and group therapy, medication monitoring/evaluation, daily living skills training, and other case management services as necessary. It is the general duty of the Clinician to provide clinical and support services to the residents of the house under direct supervision.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides case management, counseling, and other clinical interventions to residents and families as appropriate to the position. Prepares treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs. Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
  • Coordinates care with residents, families of residents, Community Reach Center staff, or external facilities and agencies as appropriate to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.
  • Monitors Activities of Daily Living (personal care, food preparation, laundry, etc.) for residents and provides training as needed.
  • Works with residents in the use of basic community resources and case management. Refers, links, advocates, and acts as liaison when necessary.
  • Assists in the day-to-day operation of the facility under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Assists residents with medication administration as directed by Colorado regulations, facility policies and procedures, and physicians orders.
  • Must be able to drive agency van or company car and transport consumers when needed.


Skills / Requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other human services related field.
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of severe and persistent mental illness, cognitive/behavioral psychology and group/individual therapy.
  • Familiarity and understanding of MS Office applications, particularly MS Outlook.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with mentally ill populations.
  • Experience working in residential care facilities.
