The Mental Health Liaison works as part of a multi-system team to coordinate and navigate clinical and case management services for mental health clients who are either receiving treatment from multiple programs, or are transitioning from one level of care to another. Duties include participating in multi-agency staffings and coordination of care, client and family intervention, intake and assessment or referral. The liaison effectively meets the clinical and case-management needs of the clients and is responsible for accurate clinical assessment and screening; provides effective treatment planning; demonstrates the ability to perform, analyze and document mental health and substance abuse assessments; performs interventions and services; maintains working knowledge of community resources and works directly with other community agencies, acting as a broker between clients and caregivers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:
' Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related behavioral health field (M.A., M.S., MSW, MFT)
' Licensed mental health professional with two years post-licensure experience (Children).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
' One year experience in behavioral health.
' Must have sufficient language skills and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately and professionally implement and document the services provided to clients.
' Possess basic computer skills and type 25+ w.p.m. for the input and output of client information, using electronic record.
' Experience working therapeutically with specified population.
' Experience using various treatment modalities appropriate for specified population, utilizing strength-based therapeutic approaches.
' Experience working in a team environment.
