Posted Date: 9/20/2009 Shift: Varied Category: Nurse Practitioners/CRNA's/PA's - Positions Department: Skyline Urgent Care Facility: Big Thompson Medical Group Position Type: PerDiem-CA Shift Hours: Weekdays 8AM-8PM; Weekends 9AM-5PM Hours Per Week: Varied Overview: Skyline Urgent Care Clinic is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on weekends. Work schedules vary. Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, read, write, reason, understand and communicate effectively; communicate well with others; bend, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 lbs.; be manually dexterous; stand/walk (remain on feet) for extended periods of time; sit for extended periods of time; assist patients to and from a wheelchair and exam table; must work around patients who may be contagious, have draining wounds or other conditions that are repulsive to see or smell. Requires typing, computer, and mathematical skills. Requires high level clinical assessment and judgment skills and ability to coordinate information and activities. Work under multiple task conditions with interruptions and patient/physician demands. Work is performed in a clinical office, nursing home, or patient home environment. Pay Opportunities: Min. $33.82 to Max $54.02 Big Thompson Medical Group is a group of physician-based clinics owned by Banner Health which include specialties in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Allergy and Urgent Care. Offices are located in Loveland, Fort Collins, Berthoud and Highland Meadows (just west of Windsor). Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for providing and coordinating primary care to patients in various settings. This position will provide patient assessments through patient exams, patient medical history, interpretation of required diagnostic procedures, and developing/implementing treatment and management plans, and provide teaching activities to residents all under the supervision of the attending physician. Skills / Requirements
Must possess current Physician Assistant license and credentials from an accredited Physician Assistant program and have the ability to be credentialed in the State of Colorado. Must demonstrate excellent people and clinical skills. Must exhibit a calm, reassuring manner, yet be able to work quickly, efficiently and confidently. Must be comfortable with presentation, assessment and treatment of acute medical conditions; also must be comfortable with minor procedures: suturing, abscess I & D, etc. Previous urgent or acute care experience preferred.
