Job: Phlebotomist

Greets, instructs, and directs patients and visitors. Performs blood collections including venipuncture and micro sample collection techniques involved in the collecting of blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Delivers safe and appropriate patient care within the scope of established policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and PC skills. Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Military Corpsman/medic training.

Certification and Licensure
Current CPR. Certified Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant Certification (Registered Medical Assistant Limited Scope or documentation of completion of a formal program is required.).

Work Experience
A minimum of two (2) years phlebotomy experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or Military Corpsman/medic.
