Jobing Description
The Footsteps Program, being offered at Boulder and Jefferson County Jails, provides a continuum of specialized adult offender substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment that begins in jail and continues in the community. It includes 12 step and peer services.
We are looking for a Clinical Therapist to join our team! Position summary: The Clinical Therapist will conduct drug/alcohol/mental health evaluations; conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions; collaborate with client to develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans; provide psychoeducation classes; maintain required documentation; collaborate with peer mentors. Qualifications: • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, counseling psychology, or a related field • Certification as a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II) • Work experience may be substituted for the master's degree • A master’s degree may be substituted for the Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II) • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment models; • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. • Skills / Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a substance abuse/dual diagnosis treatment program with a diverse population; • Experience providing substance abuse/dual diagnosis treatment to adult offenders; and • Bilingual in English and Spanish Important Notes
