Job: Certified Nursing Assistant II - Pediatrics

The Nursing Assistant is supervised by the Clinic Practice Administrator, and provides functions within scope of practice as defined by the Colorado Board of Nursing. May also perform functions delegated by the RN. The Nursing Assistant may provide care to groups of patients, both pediatric and adult. The Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists with admission and discharge of patients. Follows principles of asepsis and infection control. Maintains clean unit, work space, and patients environment per regulatory and hospital/ clinic requirements. Communicates with all members of the healthcare team and patients and families both in person and via telephone.

Currently we have one Full Time, 40 hr/week position available as well as one PRN/Pool position (hours are not guaranteed) available.

EDUCATION: Graduation from High School or equivalent required. Successful completion of one of the following course of study/programs: Approved Nurse Aide training program or Certified Nursing Assistant program or Completion of Fundamentals at an approved School of Nursing.

Certification and Licensure: Current Colorado CNA Certification required. CPR/BLS required.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one (1) or more years of recent and related pediatric or adult medical experience for general adult and pediatric units.
