JOB BRIEF

As part of the International Program Division CIV team
- the Complementary Interventions Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and clerical support duties for the CIV Director and all CIV team members. Manages the CIV monthly funding process for field offices and updates and maintains all the required data. Provides information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Functions as an information coordinator for the CIV Team. Provides administrative, resource, and communications support, as well as coordinates team activities. The ability to be self-managing, take initiative and work independently as needed are highly valued.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
*Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer. *Acts as an advocate for children
- raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. *Provides a wide range of support (but not limited to) keeping addresses and contact lists current, composing and editing business correspondence, e-mails, reports, ordering and preparing workshop materials, newsletters, presentations, and completes and processes expense reports in a timely manner. Takes meeting notes when requested. Manages the CIV Director's calendar and e-mail inbox. *Processes CIV monthly disbursement requests to field offices with accuracy and in a timely fashion. Does data entry of all the pertinent information into the CIV Global Interchange System. Liaisons with Finance to ensure field offices receive their funding on time. Tracks large amounts of data (using Microsoft Excel). Prepares necessary documentation for Finance. *Manages complex and ever-changing calendars/schedules. Arranges meetings and appointments. Makes domestic and international travel arrangements, including securing visas. Coordinates events, including meetings, conferences, and seminars. Coordinates and organizes materials that may be needed. *Maintains, updates and manages CIV's Global Interchange System, including users, authorizations, funds, milestones, activity codes, among others. *Monitors budget and variance reports, and tracks expenditures for the CIV cost center. *Handles phones, records messages, returns phone calls, and represents the CIV Team to corporate staff and other contacts. Serves as a contact and source of information for members of the CIV Team, including other International Program staff, field staff, cross-divisional staff, and external contacts. *Reviews, assesses, routes, answers, and monitors follow-up action steps on various committees and correspondence. Gathers information required for all reporting needs. Participates in the development and administration of departmental office systems and procedures. Creates and maintains filing systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
*Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. *High School diploma required, University degree desireable *Three years administrative/secretarial experience preferred. *Other Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with extensive use of both Word and ExcelCORE VALUES
