Post Date 10/29/2009 Title Donor Relations Mid-Level Specialist (1013) City Colorado Springs State CO JOB BRIEF Initiates contact with mid level donors to thank them for non-sponsorship funds for the purpose of retaining and elevating giving of this constituent group. Cultivates the mid level donors and educates them on Compassion's non-sponsorship programs and funding needs. Identifies their potential interest with the goal of transitioning them to the next giving level. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. Using the Contact Relationship Management tool, will communicate with donors who make non-sponsorship gifts to thank them for their gifts. Develops relationships through personal interaction with donors through verbal, electronic, and written commutation. Shapes and develops donor's interests in Compassion's non-sponsorship giving opportunities as well as connecting them with Compassion's ministry. Identifies donors who are capable of major donor giving and who indicate an inclination to partner at major donor giving levels for the purpose of advancing and moving them to a Regional Donor Relations Director's portfolio. Enters and tracks each communication with donors in the Contact Relations Management tool and in Compass, in preparation for reporting on return of investment of cultivation efforts. Selects and cultivates 200 - 350 highest potential donors and uses 'moves management strategy' in an effort to transition mid-level donors to the next giving level. Skills / Requirements
