Post Date 10/26/2009 Title Facilities Services Supervisor (460) City Colorado Springs State CO JOB BRIEF Provides leadership and direction for GMC services. Supervises and coaches the services team in daily work processes, prioritizes work order requirements and staff for task completion. Researches and resolves work-related problems which directly impact department productivity or work flow processes. Assists the department Manager in determining yearly desired outcomes, budget preparation and budget management. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer. *Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. *Contributes in strategic facilities planning projects. Insures project timelines and content meet department goals and objectives. Insures excellence in customer service. *Directs the Services team by guiding work groups in determining work priority, setting goals, and managing the quantity and quality of work. Provides spiritual encouragement and direction to the services staff by leading the services team toward corporate spiritual values. *Works within OSHA guidelines, Board of Health Food Safety Standards, and division safety/security standards. Ensures service tasks are performed in accordance with service level commitments and performance indicators. *Supervises strategic personnel functions including job description updates, employee hiring, evaluating staffing needs, completing PMP's, participating in salary planning, and signing payroll change forms. Provides the manager with performance feedback on team members and plan progress. Integrates team and skill sets for optimal departmental performance. *Prioritizes service requirements, based on urgency, impact, and available resources. Utilizes CAFM to effectively manage resources. Ensures preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance on services supporting equipment is managed according to plan. *Participates and contributes to all aspects of the budget process. *Manages janitorial, food service and vending contract relationships. *Updates general knowledge and awareness of current industry topics/trends by, attending seminars, participating in professional organizations (IFMA, BOMI) and reviewing web publications. Provides feedback to department leadership and offers alternatives to improve services systems. Makes recommendations to department manager to increase efficiencies and maintaining viability of daily processes Skills / Requirements
FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES
*Strong attention to detail *Proven service related experience in hospitality services or other related service industries. *Interpersonal and relational skills for building and maintaining rapport both internally and externally. *Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and willingness to strive for excellence. *Self-motivation, ability to organize and perform duties independently and in a team environment. Resourceful and proactive. *Excellent written and verbal skills. *Some knowledge of CAFM system a plus *Proficiency in MS Office Suite JOB QUALIFICATIONS *Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. *High school diploma *Successful 2-4 years experience in services management. Facility Management is preferred. *Certifications/Licensing: Relevant industry certifications are preferred (IFMA's FMP or BOMI's SMA or FMA). *Other Required Skills: CORE VALUES
