Jobing Description
Summary: Greets, escorts and provides guests with hotel information. Responsible for delivering newspapers to guest rooms each morning and shuttling guests between buildings from midnight to 7 am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
• Inspect guest's room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate
• Handle luggage to and from rooms using guest names
• Deliveries including faxes, boxes, letters, gifts and flowers to and from meeting and guest rooms
• Stand post when not engaged with guests needs
• Keep lobby and main entrance picked up from trash, cigarette butts, etc.
• Ensure that doors, windows and ashtrays are kept clean
• Answer all questions and give directions to guests
• Assist door attendant in greeting guests and opening front doors
• Transport guests about premises when regular shuttle service is not operating
• Valet parking guest vehicles when door attendants are not on duty
• Deliver newspapers to guest rooms nightly
• Ensure that bell closets, bell stands, and bellman carts are clean and ready for the morning crew
• Perform door attendant/valet staff responsibilities in their absence/overnight
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings
• Check out with supervisor at end of shift


Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates and Licenses:
Colorado Drivers License

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is moderate.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds; up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 100 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift more than 100 pounds. The employee is regularly required to carry heavy objects up and down stairs. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
