Jobing Description
Summary: Ensures total guest satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous and professional manner. Greets, escorts and provides guests with hotel information. Projects a professional image as the first department our guests come in contact with as well as the last contact the guest has with a hotel employee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Handle luggage to and from rooms using guests’ names
• Delivery of faxes, boxes, letters, gifts and flowers to and from meeting and guest rooms
• Stand post when not engaged with guests’ needs
• Keep lobby and main entrance picked up from trash, cigarette butts, etc.
• Ensure that doors, windows and ash trays are kept clean
• Make dining reservations for our restaurants
• Answer all guest questions and make them feel welcome
• Be sympathetic to each guests’ needs and treat each situation individually
• Assist door attendant in greeting guests
• Assist other departments when needed, to ensure smooth operations of the hotel
• Direct guests to appropriate meeting rooms, restaurants, etc and be a tour guide
• Coat check
• Complete all tasks assigned by the Supervisor Team
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings
• Check out with supervisor at end of shift

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
• Off property transportation of guests or guest related activities when needed or authorized by supervisor




Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates and Licenses:
Colorado Drivers License required.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds; up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift, push and/or pull up to 100 + pounds with assistance. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
