JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
Maintains clinical expertise and competency to deliver quality care to all employees
Directs the Employee Health Services Clinic
-Coordinates the administration of comprehensive occupational health services
Assesses the needs of the client population
Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and services that meet the needs of the employee population and are compatible with Aspen Skiing Company´s vision and guiding principles
Provides emergency and first aid care for on-the-job injuries and illness
Provides on-going case management for all work-related injuries and illnesses
Follows up on accident reports
Maintains a working relationship with the Workers Compensation third party provider
Provides ergonomic assessments
Ensures CPR/AED training is available for employees
Gives guidance to employees on health issues
Establishes outside physician referral sources
Identifies community resources for employees
Establishes relationships with community agencies
Supervises all health promotion programs, i.e.; flu vaccines, ergonomics, screenings, support groups, etc.
Coordinates purchasing of medical equipment and supplies
Maintains accurate medical records while maintaining confidentiality
Maintains records as required per record retention policies and procedures
-Reviews the maintenance and recording of the OSHA log
Presents monthly reports to Regional Director of Human Resources: clinic visit statistics, programs, meetings, consultations, OSHA log, professional activities, and continuing education
Maintains accurate nursing records in compliance with state and federal confidentiality regulations
Continuing Education to maintain certifications and expertise
Maintains Registered Nursing license and advanced certifications
Actively participates in professional organizations

Skills / Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of five years experience as an occupational health nurse
Prior work experience demonstrating independent practice
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Effective conflict management skills
Strong organization skills
Knowledge of emergency preparedness, safety and security guidelines, and OSHA standards

Strong leadership skills
Education or Certification
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado
Bachelors degree required
Certified Occupational Health Nurse certification required (COHN/COHN-S)
