Sentinel Rock, once the site of a stagecoach stop, juts nearly 300 feet above the fairways. Designed by noted Colorado golf course architect Dick Phelps in 1969, the 6,915 yard par 72 course is only a short, scenic 40 minutes from either Denver or Colorado Springs. The course has hosted numerous Colorado Golf Association tournaments and outside golf tournaments on Mondays during the golf season. The Clubhouse, known as the Manor House, is a charming, refurbished 1890s manor home. The dining room overlooks Lake Wauconda and the golf course and offers excellent cuisine. Fine dining can be enjoyed several times a week and there are many specialty dining events during the year.
Weddings enjoy not only meticulous attention to detail from the staff and kitchen, but a spectacular backdrop for that special day. The pro shop, operated by John Merrihew, PGA Professional, is stocked with the latest in golf fashions and equipment.
