Jobing Description

Assists clients and the day-to-day the operation of our 24-hour emergency shelter.
This position will work varying shifts to cover absences.

* Opens facility, conducts sign-in, and accurately completes necessary records and reports.
* When appropriate, supervises the preparation and clean-up of meals, chores assigned to clients, and the upkeep and maintenance of the facility.
* Enforces shelter rules uniformly and consistently.
* Acts in a responsible manner within the shelter rules to ensure the safety of persons and property at the shelter.
* Responds appropriately to needs and crisis situations.
* Strives to make volunteers and guests feel welcome.

Skills / Requirements

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
GED or high school diploma
Flexible and available schedule
At least 3 months human service experience
Computer/paperwork experience
Ablity to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
