Banner Health has an opportunity for an Operations Director - North Colorado Family Medicine and Graduate Medical Education in Greeley, CO. Greeley is a beautiful community of approximately 90,000 with a home town atmosphere. We have a desirable climate and are located along the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies with easy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities, approximately one hour from Denver. About North Colorado Family Medicine and our Graduate Medical Education programs
North Colorado Family Medicine is a family practice clinic that has been in operation training resident physicians since 1974. Our Family Medicine Residency program which is a community based, un-opposed residency program allows our residents to take full advantage of a wide-range of educational opportunities available at North Colorado Medical Center and other community affiliates. Sixty percent of our graduates practice in rural America. Another very common post-residency vocation is serving in community health centers.
As the community has grown, North Colorado Family Medicine has expanded its Family Medicine Residency program to a 9-9-9 program to include residents in the Core Track (6-6-6), the Wray, Colorado Rural Training Track (1-1-1) and the Sunrise Community Health Center Track (2-2-1).
North Colorado Medical Center also has the North Colorado Podiatric Surgical Residency program (2-2-2) providing residents with the necessary knowledge and skills to be competent podiatric foot and ankle surgeons. The program focuses on podiatric surgery, biomechanics, pediatrics, diabetic foot and wound care and practice management.
North Colorado Family Medicine and our Graduate Medical Education programs include a faculty of 10 physicians, 3 family nurse practitioners, 2 behavioral scientists, and an MBA professional in healthcare/business management. There are 26 resident physicians and a staff of 36 full-time employees.
North Colorado Family Medicine is located at 1600 23rd Avenue in Greeley, Colorado, about three blocks from the campus of North Colorado Medical Center.
Pay Opportunity
$68,765 - $89,274 (mid-point) - $109,803 annually

Responsibilities:
The Operations Director is a newly created position to provide leadership and direction to both North Colorado Family Medicine (NCFM) and its Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs in the achievement of balanced growth and delivery of excellent patient care. High performance is essential in improving operational effectiveness and assuring customer satisfaction. Leadership responsibilities include oversight of operations, capital purchases, strategic planning, business development, and facilitating a positive image of the organization within the business community.
1. Provides leadership that contributes to the growth of NCFM and its GME programs.
2. Assures financial stewardship in both operational and capital acquisition processes. Uses analytical process to assure balanced initiatives, particularly clinical excellence and financial performance. Establishes performance measures, assesses accomplishments, and evaluates operations. Works with NCFM and the GME leadership teams to identify revenue opportunities, as well as evaluate and implement cost management strategies.
3. Promotes high quality of service in all areas of responsibility. Supports process improvements that enhance provision of clinical services, outcomes and patient throughput. Together with the leadership teams of NCFM and the GME programs and other leaders, oversees an organizational structure that assures effective and efficient delivery of patient care in all areas of responsibility. Leads innovation of improvement in operational processes to increase efficiency in the delivery of patient care and patient safety.
4. Develops an organizational culture of employee engagement and service excellence. Role models behaviors congruent with the organization's principles and values. Establishes high performance standards for service outcomes and works with the leadership teams to meet standards. Matches service delivery with service expectations, managing service improvement opportunities and sets the standard for a culture of recognition and celebration.
5. Coordinates quality council activities, reviewing variances from service standards and focusing on processes and outcomes. Ensures that safety is a priority in design and redesign of new practices and services and allocates financial, informational and physical resources for improvement activities.
6. Supports organizational activities by serving on committees and task forces as requested or assigned. Focuses on partnering with other departments within the organization to improve delivery of patient care through employed physician practices, increase revenue potential and decrease costs.
7. In an academic setting may train residents on elements of practice management, staffing management, metrics of practice performance and credentialing and licensure processes.
Job Summary:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare administration as normally obtained through the completion of a Master's degree in business administration or health services administration. A Bachelor's degree with significant experience is acceptable.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare management normally demonstrated through at least ten years of healthcare management experience.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of graduate medical education normally demonstrated by a minimum of two years experience in a GME/residency program setting.
Must possess the ability to simultaneously address multiple projects, demands and issues.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as planning, organizational and conceptual skills.
