About The Company: We are a full service investigative company catering to the legal and insurance defense industries. As an entry-Level Private Investigator you will start your career fighting insurance fraud.

The Job: We fight Workers Compensation insurance fraud primarily through "surveillance". It is a tough job, it is not for everyone. It is not a 40-hour per week job, it can be irregular hours, last minute notices and schedule changes. Most cases begin by 6:00 a.m. which means on target at 6:00 a.m. If driving is required to get to the appropriate location your day may start very early. This job will cut into your personal life, especially the first few months as you are learning this job.

CIA Training Program: We provide one of the most extensive training programs in the industry, a 4-week training (no matter past experience) which is a combination of both classroom and field training. One will learn surveillance techniques, mobile automobile skills, safety procedures, report writing, skip tracing, back grounding, video techniques, the law, and other job requirements.

Skills / Requirements

Equipment Requirements: It is common practice in our industry for investigators to have this equipment, and it is a minimum requirement of this job. One will work based out of his or her residence and are responsible for bringing to this job the following personal equipment:

- Credit Card - Approved expenses are reimbursed every pay period therefore one must be able to sustain oneself until expenses are reimbursed. A $1500 minimum limit is required.
- Cell Phone with maximum coverage throughout the state of Colorado (a Smart Phone is recommended). Most investigators find Verizon or Sprint to be the best fit for this job.
- A non-descriptive Vehicle is required. An investigator in this job will put a considerable amount of mileage on ones vehicle.
- Limo tinting on an approved vehicle is necessary and CIA, Inc. will pay for 1/2 of the total cost.
- A Video Camera is required.
- Laptop (PC not Mac) and Printer & Scanner (All-In-One recommended)

Physical Requirements: Surveillance investigators spend much of their time in their vehicle. Therefore, it is very important one can handle the physical requirements of the job. At a minimum:
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in your vehicle
- Ability to easily move within confines of a vehicle (i.e. front to back seat without getting out of vehicle)
- Ability to tolerate temperature extremes during long periods of surveillance
- Requisite hearing ability to use and effectively communicate via phone or radio
