Jobing Description
To oversee the day-to-day operations of a PSR program serving as the primary point of communication, oversight and decision-making regarding program needs, requirements and development. This position is responsible for the hiring and training of personnel involved in the program as well as understanding how cultural/diversity issues work effect treatment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Program Management:
* Plan, organize, evaluate, and coordinate the daily operations of the program.
* Responsible for program development and implementing program initiatives that are consistent with the program‚s objectives.
* Coordinate the delivery of services to clients, guided by the client and involving families, friends, peer groups and community supports.
* Compile and prepare program progress reports.
* Responsible for the scheduling of program activities and staff.
* Teach internal classes related to program methods and approach.
Program Liaison:
* Act as the point person for internal and external communication regarding the program.
* Regularly collaborates among and between internal and external staff at all levels to manage and enhance professional relationships within the center and with partner agencies
* Represent MHP at external meetings and conferences related to the program.
* Prepare presentations to and provide consultation and training to related third-party agencies or at conferences.
Skills / Requirements
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
* Supervisor I requires a Bachelor‚s Degree or Master‚s Degree in related field with 1 or 2 year internship + 3-7 years relevant experience + 2 years supervisory experience.
* Supervisor II requires a Master‚s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field + 1 or 2 year internship + 5 years relevant experience + 3 years supervisory experience.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a relevant license (such as: LCSW, LPC, Licensed PhD) and who have experience working with the mentally ill population either in an outpatient, inpatient or residential setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Advanced skills in mental health diagnosis and treatment specific to populations served within the program.
* Up-to-date working knowledge of licensing, regulatory or contractual requirements.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead change in a positive, proactive and collaborative way.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of evidence-based practices.
* Computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and email, required.
