Job Summary: Responsible to the manager of Maintenance programs to capture, administer, and keep current all 14CFR Part 135 maintenance and inspection requirements of assigned aircraft model(s) operated under Air Methods Air Carrier Certificate. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: • Completes research, evaluates, and revises as necessary, Air Methods: Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs (AAIP) Reviews 337 and ICA’s for Inspection and Maintenance requirements Aircraft, Engine and Component maintenance programs • Performs audits of manufacturer’s inspection/maintenance requirement source documents to ensure currency of Air Methods inspection and maintenance programs. • Provides support to field technicians in the compliance and application of Air Methods’ scheduled maintenance and inspection requirements. • Develops new maintenance documents or programs as necessary Completes the review of the Conformity Inspections for new and used aircraft. Completes the required bridging documents for lease return aircraft. • Maintains and tracks applicable schedule maintenance and inspection requirements in the computerized maintenance and inspection requirements. • Performs audits of FAA published documents and policies to ensure currency and accuracy of Air Methods manuals, Programs, policies, and procedures. • Organizes and protects documents and manuals in accordance with Air Methods’ policies. • Ensures compliance with applicable FAR, maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives and service bulletins/service letters. • Responsible for a thorough knowledge of, and to ensure business is carried out in accordance with Air Methods policies and all applicable FARs • Assists the Maintenance programs manager as a point of contact between manufactures, suppliers, repair facilities, and the FAA. • Other duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements • Regular scheduled attendance • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Education & Experience • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Airframe and Power Plant License • Three years aircraft maintenance experience preferred. • Technical writing experience preferred. Skills • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s). • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and detail oriented. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills. • Ability to comprehend technical and regulatory documents. • Working knowledge of applicable Far and regulatory guidance material. Computer Skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • FrameMaker preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • FAA Airframe and Power Plant License preferred. Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
