Job Summary

  • The Principal Solution Architect will engage Globally, with Direct Sales or Channel Sales contacts to ensure Customer Requirements are well defined including existing equipment inventory through to End User Experience requirements for core service functions. This role is an expert service evangelist and has an impact within large Enterprise and Global Accounts
  • The Principal Solutions Architect will lead a business engagement, developing a comprehensive roadmap, managing engagement artifacts, and effortlessly participating at all levels within an organization to build rapport and credibility
  • A Principal Solutions Architect has a global impact on thought leadership and makes marketing contributions to help with AVI-SPL industry credibility

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible to create business cases and establish comprehensive roadmaps for enterprise and Global Accounts
  • Responsible for the development and design of complex services solutions and as a trusted advisor help drive to achieve our customers entire collaboration objectives. The areas of responsibility and therefore expertise is including but not limited to:
    • Business Architecture methodology – People/Process/Technology
    • Budgetary and Detailed Proposal writing and maintenance
    • Statements of Work creation and Maintenance
    • Services Deployment Models (Hosted/Managed)
    • Customer Network Connectivity Design
    • RFx repository creation and maintenance
  • Proven expert in Managed Services Product Knowledge
  • Proactively engages with Director of Solutions Program Development and Services Development team based on market intelligence and global customer needs providing analysis for go to market or service improvement and development
  • Proven internal business process knowledge of end-to-end customer life cycle support for Managed Services Solutions
  • Facilitate the application of business architecturefor business and IT value by developing and maintaining business capabilities of the enterprise
  • Develops industry knowledge for mentoring of lower Level Architects and other engineering teams
  • Respond to RFx activity from sales channels as needed at unpredictable volumes

  • Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner. This may include managing deliverables of from various internal departments and external vendors to achieve customer objectives.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Excellent structured problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex AV/UC network and connection issues

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in UC Solutions/Contact Center Applications/ Voice (IPT) and Video Conferencing Engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required, Master preferred
  • Information Technology expert that can speak on multiple levels of technology to C-Suite
  • Experience or Certifications equivalent to Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert or Business Architect Practice Expert is highly regarded

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 solutions and MS Teams is desired
