This position is responsible for fabrication, welding, painting, finishing, and installation of a variety of standard and custom products such as drain chases, hand rails, and stairs, offered by BBAC. In addition to Fabrication projects, you will assist BBAC’s maintenance department with equipment repairs that require welding and or Fabrication.

Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:

  • Possess a current 3G structural welding certification or be able to pass certification within 30 days of hire
  • Must exhibit a high-level of professionalism, integrity, and be willing and able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in representing BBAC, without exception
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Be a “Self-Starter” - Able to work independently
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Knowledge of welding processes. MIG, STICK, and TIG.
  • Assists with implementation of safety programs and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Actively Supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values”
  • Be a “Team Player”
  • Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints and shop drawings
  • Have knowledge of current ADA rules and guidelines for handrails and staircases
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


  • Minimum of five (5) years fabrication experience
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to Fabricate Handrails and Staircases from design to delivery
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Fabrication, including technology, equipment, and methods
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, managers and customers
  • Ability to produce TOP quality work
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours that will be required based on schedule
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to provide legal right to work in the U.S. as BBAC participates in E-Verify
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (CDL A preferred)
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 50 (+ -) pounds or be able to ask for assistance
  • Ability to twist, turn and bend continuously
  • Ability to push, pull and carry objects
  • Ability to carry small to large tools in and around jobsite
  • Ability to stand and kneel for long periods of time (about 90% of the time walking, standing, or kneeling)
  • Ability to perform small detailed tasks

Work environment:

  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles such as dust, dirt, fumes, etc
  • Ability to work in an external environment and under many weather conditions such as frigid cold, and exposure to vibration and/or loud noise
  • Employer will provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed, but will be the responsibility of the employee to dress appropriately for the weather conditions
