Job Title: Office Assistant, Work-Study - Office of Student Conduct and Care

Department: Office of Student Conduct and Care

Pay rate: $11.25 per hour

Number of openings: 1

Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Semesters

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the office by greeting and providing top customer service to all visitors, answering and transferring phone calls, supporting the professional staff administratively, running professional errands around campus, scheduling appointments, and completing various projects as assigned to meet the needs of a student-focused, fun, and productive team.

Confidential front desk reception support including but not limited to: greeting all guests, answering program and CCD-related questions and directing to proper individual(s), providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, calendaring for all professional staff, copying and scanning, data entry; creating presentations via PowerPoint and/or Prezi and delivering presentation(s) to New Student Orientation; accepting deliveries, provide office coverage for professional staff absences; attend team meetings, meetings with supervisor(s), trainings, and events as scheduled; problem solving.
50% General office support
25% Administrative tasks/projects as assigned by staff
25% Staffing events, tabling & facilitating brief presentations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a current student of the Community College of Denver, taking at least six hours of credit and awarded work-study funds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, knowledgeable in operating of multi-line phone system, copier, printer, scanner, label maker, projector
  • Maximum of 20 hours a week, minimum of 15 hours.
  • Must be available to work from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
  • Each shift must be a minimum of two hours.
  • Previous relevant experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA

Time Commitment

Up to 20 hours a week (may not exceed 20 hours per week)
