We need your help! Hungry dinosaurs have dined and dashed and have left our facility a mess! If you want to help keep our Museum clean and orderly, come and work with us this summer!

Every single day, thousands of curious guests take a break from an action packed day at the museum and enjoy various treats from our café – we need you to help make our guests’ experience memorable!

We are looking for a reliable dishwasher with a positive, team-focused attitude to join our team this summer! This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the Museum’s kitchen wares, floors, and dining surfaces. The dishwasher ensures proper operation of the dishwashing machine, thoroughly removes trash and debris from dining areas, and organizes and stocks various condiment stations. The dishwasher will also assist the Catering team with the set-up and breakdown of summer catering events in addition to providing back of house support. This position works as part of a team to provide an amazing guest experience through excellent customer service.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Ensures the constant maintenance of the dining room. Cleans tables, chairs and floors.  Ensures that trash and debris are removed promptly and disposed of properly.
  • Executes duties to high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ensures the proper operation and cleaning of dish machine to provide clean and sanitized small wares.
  • Provides timely and accurate set up and break down of Catering events based on room diagrams.
  • Follows all department procedures and adheres to department policies.
  • Effectively communicates with team members and supervisor to achieve performance goals.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Standing or walking up to 10 hours in a shift.
  • Lifting requirements: Medium physical effort required by handling up to 50 pounds frequently
  • High volume production kitchen. Can be hot, cold, humid and/or slippery.
  • Strenuous physical activities like lifting kitchen wares, sweeping, and setting up catering equipment.
  • Exposure to sanitation supplies.
  • Semi-frequent walking up and down stairs during shift.

 

Requirements:  ?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Ability to pass appropriate ServSafe Certification required.
