Please Note:  This is an entry-level position in our E-Commerce Department.  As our Goodwill grows, advancement opportunities may become available for the right candidate. Strong typing skills are a must and ability to research items on-line are required! Photographs will be taken with a tablet. Knowledge of jewelry is not required but is a plus. If you have a clerical background or are someone interested in learning skills in the growing e-commerce industry, this may be the position for you!!

This position will require standing for the majority of the shift.

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

OBJECTIVE:
The E-Commerce Associate will work in a fast paced production type of environment and will be responsible for sorting jewelry, taking quality photos to be used in listings and posting them on Shopgoodwill.com, our E-Commerce website. Duties will include accurately describing each item, posting pictures, and adhering to daily goals and quotas. Daily interaction with customers and co-workers will require the E-Commerce Associate to provide excellent customer service displaying an “Attitude of Gratitude” in order to support the mission of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sorting donated jewelry into types/categories, including determining quality of the item(s) to obtain the best return.
• Photograph jewelry, ensuring quality photos that include: sets/groupings, object design, identifiably markings, blemishes/wear n’ tear, and other product detail.
• List products onto our E-Commerce auction system, identifying and authenticating items as necessary to ensure accurate descriptions and professional listings by checking spelling and using good grammar.
• Follow Companies procedures and policies for handling the donations by shelving inventory to ensure that items are easily located.
• Provide excellent Customer Service with an “Attitude of Gratitude” while answering customer’s questions and concerns over electronic means.
• Ensure that customer questions and concerns are answered in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide a clean and organized work area to promote a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Cross-train in other E-Commerce areas and act as a back-up for other areas as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year photography experience (professional or personal) preferred.
• Previous experience with product/merchandise photography is desired.
• One year retail, auction or administrative experience is helpful.
• Able to effectively use Internet Search Engines, Microsoft Office and other software platforms.
• Able to identify and describe high-end jewelry is preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers through verbal and electronic means.
• Able to effectively write and proofread item descriptions for clarity, spelling and grammar
• Able to withstand prolonged standing, reaching and bending up to 8 hours per day.
• Able to work occasional overtime, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
