Reports to IT Manager. Investigate and resolve computer software and hardware problems of users: Use skills, knowledge, and resources to diagnose, determine and solve problems with hardware, software applications, and peripheral devices. Keep abreast of developments in software and hardware. Prepare and budgets for computer hardware replacements and upgrades. Maintain and enforce government computer, and information security policies. Provide customer support for Athletic Department (AD) personnel.
Respond to trouble calls throughout AD (primary support) as required. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and replace software, hardware, and peripheral devices as required. Provide technical and budgetary data to System Analyst for Forecasting IT budgets, and projects. Maintain software, hardware, and peripheral connectivity to the network. Interface with 10 CS to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity or other related enterprise systems utilized by AD. Create, and maintain organizational web pages making updates to the site as required. Supports and maintains Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) as the AD Equipment Custodian.
Provide in/out-processing support for personnel as required. Provide support to the organizational and USAFA Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Emissions Security Officer (EMSEC), and Communication Requirements Officer (CRO) managers.
Associates degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience
3-5 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required
