IDS, GeoRadar, NA, part of Hexagon, provides products and solutions for geophysical, mining, civil engineering and security applications.  Through a continuous commitment to research & development, IDS GeoRadar provides professionals with innovative products using state of the art technologies and novel solutions.  Over the years, the company has pioneered radar technologies for civil applications as breakthrough products in this domain. 

IDSNA is seeking a Production Technician to join the team in a busy and ever changing production and prototyping shop. This position is ideal for a creative problem-solver and includes a wide range of duties, such as general fabrication, electronics assembly, fabrication in aluminum and steel, working with 80/20, cost tracking, time allocation and management/tracking. All related training will be provided.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
•  Assist Production manager in fabrication and repair of radar deployment devices and power systems
 
•  Repair, fabricate and maintain Ground Penetrating Radar carts and vehicle mounting solutions
 
•  Be able to load and start a program on cnc router and plasma table.
 
•  Keeping a clean and safe workspace
 
•  Track time and costs of projects
 
•  Travel to client sites when necessary to preform repairs or upgrades on equipment
 
•  Assembly of GPR carts and protype products as per drawings
 
•  Keeping detailed inventory
 
•  Monitor and document quality control
 
•  Assist in testing and develop reports on prototype products being developed in-house
 
•  Organize packaging to ensure products stay safe in transport including fabricating wooden crates and other shipping methods
 
•  Active participation in development, implementation, and adherence to best practices and procedures.
 
•  Operate forklift and load/unload large shipments
 
•  PASS DOT physical, and maintain DOT-qualified driver status.
 
•  Maintain accurate and complete DOT e-Logs and vehicle inspections.
 
•  Transporting equipment to various locations throughout North America
 
 
Basic Qualifications:
•  Must be a creative problem solver
 
•  Ability to work on challenging issues in a fast-paced environment
 
•  Knowledge in Electronics and circuitry (DC only)
 
•   Must be familiar with basic tools such as saws, drill, tapping and other various hand tools
 
•  Current driver’s license with clean record
 
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
 
•  No related degree required
 
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 
•  Must have valid passport as travel internationally will be required
 
•  Precision and pride in work is a must.
 
•  Work additional hours to meet project deadlines, when necessary or required.
 
•  Extremely detail oriented
 
•  Extremely organized and clean.
