RespiratoryClinical Coordinator - Days

 

I.    PositionSummary:

Responsible forcoordinating the delivery of clinical patient care. Collaborates with theDirector of Respiratory Therapy in planning, organizing and delivery ofservices.  Participates in monitoring thequality of care being provided and takes appropriate measures to assure theprovision of high quality care. Financial responsibility to includecollaboration in preparation of the budgets and effective utilization ofresources.     

II.   Position Requirements:


A.  Licensure/Certification/Registration:

RegisteredRespiratory Therapist required. NBRC-RRT credential required. RegisteredPulmonary Function Technician or Registered Cardiopulmonary Technician oreligible preferred. 

CurrentBLS, ACLS, and PALS through American Heart Association required.

NeonatalResuscitation Program Required.

NeonatalPediatric Specialist preferred, Adult Critical Care Specialist preferred

B.  Education:

Graduate of AMAaccredited Respiratory Therapist program

C.  Experience:

3 years RespiratoryTherapist experience

 

D.  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must have effectiveverbal and written communication in order to communicate in a clear, concisemanner with staff, employees, patients, public and physicians.  Knowledge of respiratory principles andprocedures.  Implements and coordinatesRespiratory Care to patients based on cardiopulmonary assessment.  Models the behaviors outlined in the Valuesand Standards including Constant Courtesy, Patient Satisfaction, Teamwork &Respect, Professionalism and Personal Responsibility with all customers, peersand leadership at all times.

III.  Degree of Supervision Required

Minimalsupervision:  Individual proceeds undermedical direction and with guidance from the Department Director on his/her owninitiative in compliance with policies, procedures, and practices prescribed bythe Respiratory Care Department.

IV. Orientation Period:   

90 days
