This position is for a Regional Sales Manager for the Western US. This position will manage all aspects of sales for the region and will oversee direct and indirect sales to ensure consistent growth in orders and revenue. In addition to ongoing development and implementation of strategy for products and markets, this role is responsible for driving strategic account strategy through a team of direct Sales Representatives & a strong distribution network . Essential duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
 
- Development and implementation of Strategy on Products, Markets, and Accounts.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry;researching and analyzing sales options.
- Manage the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through contract flow down. 
- Lead deal strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery, and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals.
- Lead commercial excellence initiatives including but not limited to effective sales planning.
- Working with agents/partners in the region to maximize sales potential .
- Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships through effective and routine communication .
- Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance;researching and developing new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements .
- Nurture customers/prospects at events such as conferences, seminars, tradeshows, customer visits, etc.
- Provide ongoing Market and Customer feedback that drives Improvements in Company Product, Processes, and Services.
- Interfacing with ITT customer service, engineering and production departments as well as customer field, engineering, sales and management personnel.
- Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions,teaching improved processes and best practices, and mentoring team members.
- Maintaining effective working knowledge of current information technology, trends, and sales tools.
