Our outstanding men and women are on a mission to make a difference in the world and every single day we use our unique skills and experiences to create, design and build solutions to some of the worlds’ hardest engineering problems.

Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies and results-oriented projects with the ability to drive significant long-term solutions? The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is looking for an experienced and dedicated engineer to support the development and implementation of model-based electrical and mechanical engineering design (Physical World) and digital transformation technologies across the program. This critical initiative, executed through the Chief Engineer's office, provides you with the opportunity to work with multiple program organizations, engage with the LM Space Digital Transformation Office, and collaborate with our Navy partners on their parallel Digital Engineering effort.

As a Model Based Engineering (MBE) Staff Engineer, you will work in the Chief Engineer's office collaborating with the Sr. Manager for MBE Implementation and be the MBE core team lead for the Physical World implementation. Responsibilities for this position include:

- Supporting the execution of the MBE strategic roadmap by leading efforts to further define the vision, strategy, and implementation plan for electrical and mechanical engineering design activities across the program

- Incorporation of MBSE into the design function and transition of design to manufacturing and production functions

- Ensuring the logical and practical transition of existing FBM programs to model-based design tools and methodologies

- Engagement with configuration management, check, manufacturing, quality, and PMP organizations to support implementation of the digital engineering workflow process

- Supporting the integration of the complete digital thread throughout engineering and support organizations

- Working with the LM Space Digital Transformation Office (DTO) to ensure alignment of Enterprise transformation objectives with FBM objectives

- Supporting the customer’s Systems Engineering Transformation (SET) team and the alignment of the Navy’s Digital Engineering objectives with FBM objectives

- Leading collaborative teams that include customer and industry partners
