Are you interested in joining us as an Avionics Engineering Senior Manager leading the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program?

Join us at Lockheed Martin where you will be involved in managing strategic planning, research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems for Lockheed Martin Space's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program nationwide.

• Experience being a leader of leaders or leading team of a significant number of direct reports.

• Experience with handling difficult conversations with both employees and stakeholders

• Experience hiring/staffing management and experienced professionals

• Experience with a full product life cycle - Knowledge of the definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware for both custom and procured electronic assemblies in accordance with all Lockheed Martin Space engineering process specifications

• Ability to understand and troubleshoot enterprise issues that cross technical discipline boundaries

• Attend Design Reviews and Provide Technical Feedback from Electronics Perspective

• Ability to communicate to customers, upper management, and key stakeholders regularly via program management reviews and periodic customer status briefings.

• Ability to multi-task and support of technical investigations and initiatives simultaneously

• Ability to effectively communicate, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with senior military/customer counterparts.

• If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for DOD clearances.

• At least an undergraduate degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.

• Relevant experience in the full life cycle of electronics hardware (design, build, test, troubleshoot).

• Must have experience with managing managers of managers.

• 15+ years of professional experience for this role.

• Active or current Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Must have experience leading managers of managers.

• Experience in a technical management role with direct reports.

• Must have previous Integrated Product Team leadership experience and demonstrated management responsibilities leading an engineering, subcontract or production team.

• Experience in a project management role.

• Demonstrated ability to work with geographically diverse teams.

• Active or current Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.

• Must be a citizen of the United States.

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving enterprise technical issues
• Experience in presentation, oral and written communication to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges employees, coworkers, leaders, and customers
• Proven understanding of electronics standards and processes
• Current or past Certified Product Engineer assignment with experience in the development and Acceptance Test / Buy-off of end items.
• Ability to communicate how and why a design meets specified requirements both in writing and verbally
• Experience with cross-functional teams located in different locations
• Good understanding of long product cycle
• Experience in manufacturing and production of aerospace hardware.
• Previous CAM experience including Earn Value Management
• Demonstrated experience in producibility, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with applications in electronics manufacturing
• Demonstrated understanding and background in integrated master schedule planning activities and earned value management; Control Account Manager (CAM) experience with a demonstrated ability handle budget and scope to meet cost and schedule commitments
• This position requires willingness to work extended hours when the job necessitates the need.
• Must emulate LM Full Spectrum Leadership attributes and effectively work in a collaborative manner to arrive at technical and non-technical solutions that support the overall objectives of the organization and the Customer.
