Job Description
This position is for a Systems Engineer with a strong technical background working for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS) on the LM Human Space program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Guides the successful completion of major projects and may function in a project leadership role.
- Applies extensive technical expertise, and has knowledge of other related disciplines including IT infrastructure, applications and security architectures.
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
- Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Performs LM Human Space IT System Engineering Activities as required.
- Actively participate in requirement and design meetings and facilitate communications between the Technology team and the Customer
- Assure Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Compliance
- Prepare for and facilitate Major Milestone Reviews
- Coordinate with LM Space and Enterprise programs where applicable

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years IT Systems Engineering experience and full knowledge of systems processes in one or more of the following areas:
1. Requirements identification and decomposition
2. Agile Release and Sprint planning
3. Hardware and/or software test planning and/or execution
4. Development of system architectures
5. Support for major milestone reviews in accordance with Agile methodologies
6. Microsoft Office suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
7. Strong Communication and problem-solving skills
8. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Desired skills
- Experience with Hardware/Software Integration Labs
- Experience with Cloud or Virtualization Technologies (OpenStack, Amazon WebServices and/or VMWare)
- Experience developing integrated schedules
- Experience with Software Development Agile Tool Suites
- Experience with Secure Network (Isolan) Architectures
- Experience analyzing and trouble-shooting Complex issues
- Experience interfacing with all levels of management and external customers
- Experience working on a virtual team
- Experience working directly with customers to gather and document project requirements
- Ability to work periodic weekends and off-hours in support of customer requirements
